Starwood Privilege Terms & Conditions
At participating Starwood Hotels ONLY:-
 
DINING
1.

On presentation of a valid membership card, the member is entitled to dine on a complimentary basis at all participating hotel restaurants when dining with at least one paying guest. The complimentary portion of the food bill is determined by dividing the total food bill by the number of people dining together on one table and subtracting the resulting amount from the original bill.

 
2.

The complimentary meal calculation is as follows:

 

2 people dining = 50% off the total food bill.

3 people dining = 33% off the total food bill.

4 people dining = 25% off the total food bill.

5 people dining = 20% off the total food bill.

Member dining alone = 20% off the total food bill.

 
4.

The Membership card can only be used by the person named on the card.

 
5.

The member will be entitled to 10% discount off the price of promotional menus when the normal dining benefits do not apply.

 
6.

The dining benefit is valid for standard meals (breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner) and a valid membership card must be presented when dining, in order to receive the benefit.

 
7.

The dining discount is calculated on the food portion of the bill only.

 
8.

The dining benefit is not valid on the following dates: Valentine's Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day and other national holidays in the local jurisdiction. When booking for national holidays, members should enquire if the dining benefit is available.

 
9.

The dining benefit is not available for room service, banquets and events held in function rooms.

 
10.

Only one membership card may be used per table and only one complimentary meal may be taken per membership card per dining visit.

 
11.

When a member is dining with at least one full paying guest, and a child is also included in the member's party, if the child's meal is from a Children's Menu where the pricing is set accordingly, then it is not calculated in the discount computation and is paid separately in full. Conversely, if the child's meal is ordered from the regular menu at regular menu prices, then the Child's meal will be included in the discount computation.

 
 
Accommodation
1.

Members are entitled to receive the Starwood Privilege Rate, which is an ongoing discount of 5% off the lowest available rate of the day at the time of booking , at all hotels in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The Starwood Privilege Rate is available year round, provided there is a vacant room available.

 
3.

Reservations must be booked directly with Starwood, either through any Starwood Customer Call Centre or the Starwood Privilege website starwoodhotels.com/privilege. Details of Starwood Customer Contact Centres can be found here (link to CCC listings online on branded sites)

 
4.

Members must request the Starwood Privilege Rate at time of reservation.

 
5.
A valid membership card and ID must be presented on check-in to receive any of the Starwood Privilege room rates except when a non-member is using a fully transferable accommodation certificate.
 
6.

The Starwood Privilege Rate is applicable to room ONLY bookings and is not valid in conjunction with any other special offer, rate, promotion or discount.

 
 

COMPLIMENTARY ROOM PRIVILEGE

1.

Classic Membership Complimentary Room Night Certificates are valid at the hotel at which the member joined for a single stay of one night in a standard room. The room may be upgraded to any higher category of room for payment of 20% of the lowest available rate of the day on the day of reservation for that room category. A reservation must be made directly with the Starwood hotel quoted on the certificate. This Certificate is for the Member's use only and may not be transferred.

Some Hotels do not have a Complimentary Night Certificate in their membership package but have substituted it with additional Food & Beverage benefits. For a listing of those Hotels, click here .

 
2.

Gold Membership Complimentary Room Night Certificates are valid at participating Hotels throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa for a single stay of one night in a standard room. At some Hotels a supplementary fee of either US$20 or US$50 may be required based on the Category of hotel. A list of hotels by Category can be found here. A reservation must be made through Starwood Customer Contact Centers, requesting your choice of participating hotel. Members will be advised at the time of making a reservation if a supplementary fee is payable. 3.

Classic and Gold Complimentary Room Night Certificates are for the Member's use only and are valid for a maximum of two guests per stay.

 
4.

Any member who fails to show for a reservation to utilize their Complimentary Room Night Certificate may be charged a cancellation fee as determined by the hotel (members will be advised of this cancellation policy at the time of reservation).

 
5.

A valid Membership Card and the Complimentary Room Night Certificate must be presented on check-in.

 
 
GENERAL
1.

Use of a Membership Card or any Certificate constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions listed herein.

 
2.

The Membership Card must be signed on the signature strip on the reverse of the card.

 
3.

The Membership Card is not transferable and cannot be on-sold to another individual.

 
4.

The Membership Card is the property of the issuing agent and must be returned upon request.

 
5.

The Membership certificates and card have no cash value and are valid until the expiration date stated.

 
6.

All Membership Certificates need to be surrendered on redemption of the benefit.

 
7.

The membership benefits cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or special rate.

 
8.

The participating hotel and restaurant listings, membership benefits and any terms and conditions communicated in this or any other Starwood Privilege material may be subject to change without notice. Where possible, members will be kept updated on any such changes through this website, membership newsletters, e-news and other media.

 
9.

All amounts listed in US Dollars may be charged in local currency and all amounts quoted in local currency may be charged in US Dollars.

 
10.

Lost or stolen Certificates will not be replaced. Lost or stolen Membership Cards must be reported by either calling your local Customer Service Centre or emailing us. To obtain contact details, click here. A processing fee of twenty-five US Dollars (US $25.00 or local currency equivalent) will be charged for each replacement Membership Card, which will be issued with the same expiration date as the previously issued card.

 
11.

Cancellation of a membership is subject to the statutory right of cancellation period in member's country of joining. A refund will be issued only once the Membership Card and ALL Certificates have been returned unused to Customer Service. To obtain contact details, click here. An administration fee of twenty-five US Dollars (US $25.00 or local currency equivalent) will be charged for cancellations outside of this period.

 
12.

In all instances where Membership Certificates are printed in more than one language, the definitive language shall be English.

 
 

VARIATION OF TERMS & CONDITIONS

2.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts reserves the right to add, delete, vary or amend the Program terms and conditions without notice.
 
3.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts failure to enforce a particular term or condition does not constitute a waiver of that term or condition by Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
 
 

 

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

In no event shall the owners, operators, franchisors or licensors of any Member Hotel, or any of their affiliated or subsidiary companies, or their directors, agents, managers, or employees, or the proprietor or the marketing agent of the Membership (hereinafter collectively “Protected Parties”) be liable for any indirect, special or consequential damages; and without limiting the generality thereof, including any loss, cost or damage to, or suffered by, the Member or others, arising from defects, negligence, delays, failure of performance or non-performance, including all claims, demands, obligations, liabilities, indebtedness, breaches of contract, breaches of duty or of any relationship, liability for acts, omissions, misfeasance, malfeasance, damages of every type, nature or kind suffered by Members or others, resulting from the action, or inaction of the hotel or its agents or employees in connection with the Membership Benefits provided to Member or others herein. In the event of a breach of any the provisions hereof by any Protected Party, the extent of any liability of any such Protected Party shall be limited to the amount paid by Member for Membership.
